Agreed - not atypically large short position. For some stocks this is a constant even while a significant institutional position is maintained because it allows the Big Boys to control the price, creating up and down cycles that force individual investors out.

The key difference here is the magnitude of the move that is expected, and I don't believe they will be able to control the up side with these shorted shares.
