any thoughts on why Amarin has not come out with an Authorized Generic (AG)?

(i) I do not think EU is the reason. The brand (net) US price is less than the agreed Swedish reimbursement (1,719 SEK = 176 USD). Furthermore, price negotiations are based on "list" (gross) price.
(ii) I think they try to secure the market by exclusive contracts first (45% of lives are on exclusive basis).
