Tesla catches fire on Route 3 in Brooklyn, Illinois

It is unknown at this time how the car caught fire. Earlier this month, Tesla recalled 130,000 vehicles across its U.S. model lineup because the touch screens can overheat and go blank.

Not long after the dealership Teslas in Miami caught fire, another new Tesla spontaneously combusts in Illinois. They do not know why these 2-4 Teslas spontaneously combusted. This usually happens on average about once a month but May has seen 4 spontaneous combustion incidents so far and 3 of the 4 within a few days of each other.

Just a few days ago a recently purchased Model Y Tesla shutdown on its owner and combusted forcing him to kick out the windows to get out. He must not have known about the manual release.

Little over a week ago another Tesla spontaneously combusted just sitting in someone's parking area after a trip. Yet again no reason for the sudden fires.
