I hate to say it, but we played right into AdamF's hand. What could we have done differently? To begin with, if we had updated Clinical Trials prior to the presentation on the 10th, Adam wouldn't have had a leg to stand on in saying we failed based on PFS, but we didn't, and he could point to it as evidence he was right, even if it was stated otherwise at the presentation.

Secondly, to my knowledge he was the first to get the word out on Dr. Liau not appearing at the company, it allowed him the narrative. If the company had put out a statement the instant they learned that Dr. Liau couldn't make the appearance much of the wind would have been taken out of his sails.

The company knew these things were happening, they could have controlled both issues by acting rather than permitting AdamF to make his accusations prior to anything official coming from the company or conference site.

It's my hope that we'll get the Journal before ASCO and that at ASCO we can get ahead of the criticism, rather than fighting from behind. If the Journal is still being held back and out hands are being tied by our agreement with the publisher I hope they'll load the hour with testimonials of some of the longest survivors in the trial, that could get some good press.
