Your theory is hogwash...

The company is closely held by retail that recognizes the value of the company.

If you are long, yes institutional buying is up, as X points out only 15% so not that much

Only 15% was bought because that is all they could shake loose with shorts and manipulation. They were only able to get that much because it's a really UGLY market.

If most of the short buying is institutional which I think it is (my opinion) then they are using calls to protect there A$$ES.

It's short selling, not short buying. It's hedge funds and quants that specialize in manipulation that are doing the selling. Yes, options are exchanged in order to give them a certain amount of protection. It's a highly complex financial maneuver that robs retail of their money.

Also the buying (long or short) of 40% in dark pools a little concerning. I bought 21K shares a week back, all in one lump to see what the price action would be through Schwab, didn’t move at all. There is a lot of opinion on MM manipulating the stock to either allow “institutional” buyers short or long to enter. I just don’t see that.

It is "concerning" only in that it is something that should not be permitted by regulators. What you don't see is that it is PROOF of manipulation. ALL of the stocks I am invested in have similar action. This action accelerates during market wide volatility. OBVIOUS manipulation.
