The usefulness of charts and technical analysis is not the point at issue. The Marketwatch data does not refute in any way what I have been saying all along. The issue is pattern recognition and trends that are evident in a chart. I identified a timeframe and pattern that is consistent with a stock that is channeling. During that same time frame, on more than one occasion, you referenced the stock bleeding down. That is the issue. I think you mischaracterized the trend line over several weeks.
Do you understand that suggesting many stock professionals question the value of technical analysis for OTC stocks has no bearing whatsoever? I happen to hold a similar opinion. If a trend line says a stock is channeling that says nothing about the usefulness of recognizing that pattern. From where I stand, you mischaracterized the data. Data can be interpreted into information and that information can guide decision making.
If I said the weather report calls for sunny in the high 80's, that is data. That data can be used to think about whether or not to go to the beach. You can say the meteorologist is often wrong, but that doesn't change the data.
If you look at the chart from March 29 through May 9 are you saying the pattern is different from channeling? If so, what label do you give it? How many times during this timeframe did you say something along the lines of "continues to bleed down?"
