PSA I just got word that my in-law's widowed mother lost "all her savings" yesterday via someone posing very convincingly online as IT. Details are sketchy as this is 3rd hand info. She had a substantial nest egg, possibly in the 2-comma club. Knowledge is power. If I save just one person from being a victim this post was worth it.
