100%. They have every right (and duty) to defend themselves, regardless of Journal, embargo, quiet period, etc...whatever the excuse of the day is. What news org wouldn't want to hear about a david vs. goliath story with a potentially game-changing cancer treatment when BP and nefarious forces are working to stop them? I would be on every channel.
