Given what we now know about pseudoprogression, in reality wouldn't the quickest way we know the vaccine is working be the determination of pseudoprogression. Certainly, it might first be thought to be progression, but the company knows how to differentiate it from progression, so now it would be a quick tell that the vaccine is working.

I don't know if in working with all the patients in the trial they've actually built a separate group of those who showed progression the fastest, but if it was truly pseudoprogression and if the treatment continued in spite of it, this might be the grouping of patients with the greatest success. It would be interesting to see if they can break down the data that way.

If the regulators and other medical experts realize that this is in fact the case, they can watch to see if patients are demonstrating the efficacy of the vaccine early by watching for pseudoprogression, instead of being a negative, it becomes a positive.
