AACR is going to have mud on their face. They're not the end arbiter. That blurb will ultimately be taken down as inaccurate. Because it is.

The rage if they do not correct that will erupt at AACR from the oncology research community, I expect, and from powerful sources will be a huge embarrassment. It could be career ending for people there. Don't bet on one pathological writer named Adam, which is where that column comes from, BECAUSE the results have not actually been released to the world. At AACR, it was laziness, not senior decision making that led to that mistake.
