You are cleverly wording this to make the treatment arm sound bad.
What should be said is why did the patients that received their first dose of DCVAX later in the trial do even better than the patients that received DCVAX on day 1 who also did statistically better that SOC.
The simple answer is that it appears DCVAX works well even after progression (recurrent GBM) which was unexpected. It was also a surprise to find the at works so well with significant residual disease.
DCVAX should received accelerated approval with these results.
