Very good question. We do not know why AVXL has taken this point in time to do "whatever" an R&D day does. BUT, this IS a kind of change indicator for SOMETHING....likely important.

IMO, it is a leadership initiative being taken by a small (tiny) company, in a massive OCEAN of doubt and WW CNS disease vacuum- frustration. A lot of CNS-Pharma people must be asking/thinking the same kinds of questions...starting with ...WHY NOW?

My guess is. Dr.M. and WW AVXL team felt they have something important to say. AVXL have recently declared a new CNS - S1R MOA initiative . They are at least obligated to complete that thought, IMO.
