When I was a young boy about age 4 - 5 my dad worked at a little dinky sawmill in Long Creek, Oregon. The mill was the sole employer. Maybe 50 people lived in the community.

On special occasions, dad would drive us six young kids out into the country looking for beer and pop bottles. (No cans back in those days). [No doubt it cost dad more in gas for us to go searching for the bottles ... but he knew it was sort of like an Easter egg hunt for us kids].

We cashed the bottles in and bought candy with the proceeds. I always bought a little licorice with my money. Otherwise, there was never any money to buy it with.

So WHY do I tell this story? STOCK UP ON LICORICE! If times get real tough, kids will do your yard work for you for a few sticks of licorice. Because of inflation, it will be too expensive for kids to buy at the store.

The reason for global warming is because hell is getting hotter.
