“Talk about a hook in the jaw. Israel has a commercial oil and gas capability, and they would be taking away Europe's energy dependence on Russia. That could easily be viewed as a national security threat to Russian interests.”

Wow, this thought got my attention as this could indeed be the hook to lure Russia to attack Israel especially with whats going on. It lines up all to well.
