Hmmm, very choppy trading with big price swings back and forth across the 20% spread, sometimes more

ASK is super thin and got chased a bit with some slaps

But, in the end, GSPE is languishing around the penny mark ....

Here's my heavy thought for hump day -

squandering the SPR for a short-term "damage control" stunt might end up being a smart move

reason - the ultimate goal of the SPR is more effectively addressed by increasing domestic production and refining capacity

we have a huge reserve already proven and within reach, doesn't necessarily need to be in "storage"

allow (encourage?) private sector build out - broader energy supply with spare capacity

If that's done when the tide of policy changes (and it will), replenishing the SPR will have already happened but will be insignificant .... as it (mostly) was already
