Blarcamesine restores ER waste-clearing functions.

The folding and modifying of proteins is essential for many bodily processes, and the ER can be kicked into overdrive when it needs to be.

That’s a wonderful thought, concept. Except, in people with dementia (particularly with Alzheimer’s) the dementia is caused because the waste-clearing, protein-folding and other cell-keeping processes no longer function well. The cell’s endoplasmic reticula no longer function sufficiently or well.

Of course, that’s where blarcamesine will enter the scene. It actually has the ability to “kick the ER into overdrive,” or at least cause it to function normally, as it does in youthful, non-pathogenic states. Particularly, by its activation of the sigma-1 receptor protein, a number of downstream processes are modulated or restored, including proper protein folding. Most important is the folding of enzyme proteins, which allow them to catalyze waste-clearing reactions.

No other Alzheimer’s therapy is able to effectively do this.
