"A top rule of biotech is to overcome irrational FOMO and sell when whenever the opportunity arise outside any news insight."

That should be THE top rule!

To take it a step further, when the irrational FOMO results in a rapid 5x price increase (as it did in early Feb 2021), at the very least one should sell enough shares to recoup their original investment (even better would be to sell 2x that amount to lock in a 100% gain). How in the world this particular lesson only appears to have been learned by just a few here really boggles the mind!

There is absolutely no reason for any investor who has been in AVXL for at least 2 years to not have a $0 cost basis. I get a kick out of some here who think the ones who trade AVXL are "greedy". Maybe it is the ones who refuse to sell a single share until some "pie in the sky" share price materializes that are actually the ones who are greedy?

A top rule of biotech is to overcome irrational FOMO and sell when whenever the opportunity arise outside any news insight.
Then by all means if the risk/reward remains attractive buy back while keeping profit to balance the risk in a portfolio.
Don’t get caught with one’s FOMO pants around the ankles.
This is how I have manage to still be on the $AVXL millionaires list.
