Rickards said that part of President Xi's strict lockdown order is to prevent a mega health crisis in China from jeopardizing his ascent to 'President for life' in November. He's trying to keep the lid on Covid until then, but he's walking a tightrope since this threatens China's economy and also the world's. So a fine mess.

I figure another motivation for China's zero Covid policy might be that they fear the US will release a race specific bioweapon in China. That's actually not so far fetched when you consider some of the ghoulish factions within the globalist ranks these days. They see China as a huge rival and the key existential threat to continued Western dominance in the world. From the Western globalist's perspective, the question is how to remove/neutralize that rival? Can't use nukes, so use microbes. So Xi responds to every viral outbreak like it might be 'the one'.
