Thank you pqr - I have jokingly thought to myself that my life became a Hallmark movie based on the turns it has taken following her diagnosis, but I'm very excited for the next scene of this film :)

Thank you again for the kinds words. The Mrs. is the champion of the two of us and that's why I haven't posted that often, because on this board, with its many kinds posters, when one shares a status as caretaker one receives very kind words directed to the caretaker. But I fell into that status only by association with my wife, who is the patient and the true champion.

I'm trying to break out of my shell here because a therapist said it could be helpful to engage others on this issue. Well I don't really wanna talk (and perhaps cry) in person with someone but I have learned to get comfortable with typing these last few days :) Thank you again.
