The homily on our first mass after the diagnosis was centered around the idea that God does not provide a challenge that you cannot handle. Imagine sitting there and hearing that, I didn't find it to be a coincidence.

One of the challenges of being a caretaker is that obviously she is going through a more difficult challenge than I am, but my challenge is itself difficult to manage. If I have been able to see this investment through for a few years of holding because of the information generously shared by posters here, I have been able to survive this caretaker challenge because of my wife's incredible approach to this unique challenge. The point being, now I can call her a fowl without getting in trouble for it :) Thank you again.
