Doc logic, with the post I wrote to which you responded, looks like I was about 19 months or so early in believing that that time was the time that we are now in. I want to take this opportunity to again renew my thanks for the incredible people around here.

Happy to share as well we received a stable scan for the Mrs. within the last few weeks who has managed a low grade brain tumor with indescribable grace for the last 3+ years.

We recently saw a concert together that was rescheduled from 2020 to May of 2022 and although we have a can-do, positive approach to this problem, I remember that little voice in my mind said 'Oh boy' when it was rescheduled for so far out. We were also able to start the final portion of Ozark together last week. Knowing years ago and after the diagnosis that it would take a few years for the series to be complete, I'm so happy we were able to start the last season together.

I don't like to discuss this issue with people in "real life" because I don't think others can relate, and if they can b/c they are in a similar situation, well who the heck wants to get together and trade sad stories, you know? But the feeling of being on an island has been somewhat reduced by the community here. I don't feel qualified to comment that often but have soaked it all in, and although I wouldn't quite call this an "escape" this board is a heck of a resource.
