Using Google Chrome browser. Create any chart you like on the original Stockcharts webpage, then click the 'Permalink' button at the bottom edge of the chart, then click on 'Reload with link' from the pop-up menu that appears.

Then put the cursor on the chart and right-click. Then click on 'Reload in a Separate Tab' from the pop-up menu that appears. This will open a new tab with only the chart. Everything else from the StockCharts web page has been stripped away. This only works with Google Chrome BTW.

Now right click on the web address to copy it.

Now open Microsoft PowerPoint, open a new blank page, and in the top menu, click on 'Insert', then click on 'Pictures', then on the 'File Name' box that appears, paste the web address for the bare chart. Then click on the down arrow to the right of the 'Insert' button to open another pop-up menu. Click on 'Insert and link' from the pop-up menu..

If you are successful, the bare chart will now appear on the PowerPoint slide. You can now size it, position it, and annotate it using all the PowerPoint tools. Once you like what you have, save the PowerPoint page, and close it.

Because you have 'linked' the chart when you pasted it, every time you reopen the PowerPoint slide, PowerPoint will go to StockCharts and get the current copy of the chart, and use it when it openes the slide. Close and reopen the slide every time you want to refresh the chart(s) you have pasted in this way.

I have some PowerPoint slide decks that are so full of linked charts, PowerPoint requires 30 seconds or more to fully open them. I much prefer PowerPoint do all the mouse clicking for me ;)

Let me know if you need more help. GLTY
