As opposed to what if Putin goes nuclear or attacks our NATO allies? If any of that happened there would be no fence sitting, NATO would be by default involved.

There are no good solutions to this unprovoked Putin war where the world is heavily involved. There are no good solutions to the continued danger and threat from Russia in any foreseeable future, where doing nothing isn't even an option. ICBMs with nuclear or chemical warheads are not inhibited a whole lot by distance.

Kleptocrats: a ruler who uses political power to steal his or her country's resources.

Kleptocracy: government by those who seek chiefly status and personal gain at the expense of the governed.
