The classic response is that Apple would pay nothing for the IP but we would get a cut of the manufacturing profit since Apple would go through us to get a contract manufacturer. Honestly I’m not sure if that’s right or what our cut might be. "Cost plus" was mentioned. 20% has been mentioned. I don’t know enough to explain when there should or shouldn’t be an 8K.

I should add there’s a school of thought that says Apple paid for 105 not 106 (Different formulas, for the uninitiated).
