With Direct patients often respond by the tumors getting larger as they die much like a rotting corpse bloats.

In medieval and early modern times these and other signs of decomposition meant that the corpse looked more alive but sleeping to villagers and helped provide evidence to them that it was rising from the grave and feeding on people as a vampire.

Similarly tumors injected with Direct might look like they are are getting larger vigorous because like those villagers we are just learning how all this works. In reality Direct is killing them and they soon die as evidenced by one Direct recipient who had a grapefruit sized tumor on her lung and thanks to Direct went into remission and could actually go back to swimming.

Look Direct is one of the reasons for my anger at NWBO management. The setbacks on L and lack of funds mean we have not moved to Phase 2 let alone 3 on Direct. Leaving aside my personal financial interest the number of patients lost by even one year of Direct being set back from approval and commercialization is staggering. It works and is 100% safe and yet regulators and even scientists are moving forward like it’s a cure for warts.

That would seem at first discredit what I am saying because how could Dr. Liau not cry from the heart and publicly to stop the delays if it’s this good? But she knows the system and probably had to Meade peace long ago that companies are going to be poorly run and that bureaucrats will do more butt covering than expediting and she focuses on saving or extending life for those lucky enough to find her in time and with moving the research forward. Even if she cried out no one would listen and she would just lose her ability to do what she is allowed to do.

So yes it has helped patients and that is a chief course of shareholder frustration and not just about money because we’ve all lost family to inoperable cancer.

Simply put, L is awesome but is like developing the Internet. Direct is like having wireless Internet and mobile devices. Both are powerful but one fundamentally changes society far more than the other.
