Not sure when it changed, but here was the company profile statement on TDAmeritrade from an old screenshot I took on 31 August 2021

"Lightwave Logic, Inc. is a development-stage, electro-optical device and organic nonlinear materials company. The company is engaged in the chemical synthesis of chromophore dyes used in the development of organic Application Specific Electro-Optic Polymers (ASEOP) and Organic Non-Linear All-Optical Polymers (NLAOP) that have high electro-optic and optical activity. The Company's family of materials has the utility across a range of applications in devices that address markets, including telecommunication, data communications, high-speed computing and photovoltaic cells. The Company develops photonic devices that utilize its polymer-based material systems. These polymer-based material systems, when used in modulators or waveguide structures, can convert high-speed electronic signals into optical (light) signals for use in communications systems, high-speed data transfer or advanced high speed computing."



I just noticed the updated profile statement today.

"Lightwave Logic, Inc. is a development-stage company that has commercialized electro-optic photonic devices made on its P2IC technology platform, which uses in-house organic polymers. The Company designs and synthesizes organic chromophores for use in its own electro-optic polymer systems and photonic device designs. It includes host polymers, poling methodologies and molecular spacer systems that are customized for optical properties. Its organic electro-optic polymer systems compounds are mixed into solution form that allows for thin film application. It also designs its own polymer photonic integrated circuits (polymer PICs). The polymer PIC is a photonic device that integrates several photonic functions on a single chip. Its modulator devices are enabled by its electro-optic polymer material systems, which have crystalline electro-optic material contained in modulator devices, such as lithium niobate (LiNbO3), indium phosphide (InP), silicon (Si) and gallium arsenide GaAs)."



Interesting wording to state they are a development-stage company that has commercialized devices. I assume TDAmeritrade gets these profile statements from the company.
