I agree with your second point...who we tax.

I would prefer to see the gov't finally get serious about providing for the less-fortunate to have real educational opportunities - handing out money, i.e. wealth redistribution, does nothing permanently to help the less-fortunate.

Approx 2% of the U.S. population are farmers, yet they get subsidies from the gov't. and that makes no sense.
