The WH shares part of the blame - instead of hammering home the benefits of the child credit tax credit, they moved onto other issues...I see the same mistake happening with the BBB program - how many voters even know their towns will benefit from repairing bridges before they collapse? In defense of the WH, they presume voters know they will benefit from safer bridges, ect., but the avg voter does not pay attention until election time and so far, the GOP has been a better messenger.
