The optimistic side of me and the dramatic pickup in share volume in the last hour leads me to believe that word is leaking out that an announcement is imminent that will at least give shares a reason to rally.

In light of another grim scripts report today, the company is getting confirmation that its Direct-to-Doctor sales strategy, or whatever its called, isn't going to work and that it needs to team up with a Big Pharma (hello Pfizer) to boost sales in the U.S. and Europe. At the very least, it can be something akin to the partnership in Canada, which has to be a trial run.

Or, I could be totally wrong and today's share movement is just another blip brought on by perhaps enthusiasm for presentations at the conference this weekend or a positive note from an analyst that we don't know about yet or a dead-cat bounce.
