I've worked with many hundreds, probably thousands of UK companies in a substantial business role for many years. These are major companies, not tiny ones, though subsidiaries of large companies can often seem "small" perhaps. My information is NOT dated. Generally, your view is correct. I do not recall ever seeing a company refer to its management as CEO. EVER. It doesn't mean it could not possibly happen. I've just never, ever seen it. And my experience on this question is extensive.

Not sure what this debate is about. LP is not CEO of Advent. There is no evidence to suggest that anywhere that I've seen. Certainly not in the accounting documentation or corporate documentation filed in the UK publicly that I've seen. And I was just at that site and read a few years worth of documents through the changeover from ownership by Cognate. If someone has documentation to the contrary, please share. If it's not current and it's not documented, it's likely not true.
