Who controls the oil, controls. Should've had a transition decades ago, at least started way back. Could've, would've if all those petro dollars going against that on a massive scale and on a constant basis, hiding the information, paying the politicians off, attacking science and scientist, having too much of a major role in politics, governing, and the law, and on and on.

And the populace conditioned to just sucking it all up, wasting, polluting, just no control. Now over time we have more disease, more birth defects, less clean water, less fish, more three legged frogs, and a dependency worse than any addict on the street (and that's not an exaggeration). Pollution (fossil fuels and its' derivatives most of it) does that, and now we've got to pay the piper. It's going to be like suddenly shifting into reverse, going to strip some gears and do some real damage, and it's going to cost a lot and hard to fix.

Now there's going to be a geo-political demand to pump more, with the fossil fuel industry wining about needing all the regulations off, let them go at will costing the populace all the concurring expense with water, food, housing, medical costs that all increase with use of fossil fuels.

Talk about the prices now getting over what people can buy, for yrs before any Covid Wars, many, especially seniors, have to choose between their prescription or a can of soup. Many people out there can't even afford to go to doc to get the script.

I know, there is a lot besides fossil fuels in those problems, but societies overall health, the land we live on, and the air we breath, and the politics governing all of it has been negatively impacted by the greed, overuse, and waste of fossil fuels. And no matter how much we pay at the pump or thermostat, we are paying out many times more in $ from the lasting detrimental effects.
