Thanks for your reply. Do you have any additional thoughts about the best natural ways to reduce chronic pain and inflammation in the knee and tendons connected to a miniscus tear (which was operated on 15 years ago successfully but is now worn) leaving me with an arthritic knee and tendon damange resulting from overuse?

I have been doing extensive physical therapy to strengthen and rebuild tendons that are damaged and trying to find a way to ease inflamation in the knee joint (and a modest amount of occasional pain in the hip joint) with Boswellia and Turmeric Curcumin suppliments.

The PT has produced some good results reducing pain and swelling and providing strengthening after 3 1/2 months, but it is not a cure yet, nor has it fully healed knee arthritis. The problem is too much swelling under the knee, and pain in tendons when used to walk or run distances.

My own research on connective tissue repairs says do as much weight lifting PT as you can to strengthen the surrounding muscles and tendons, without causing pain that exceeds 3 on a 10 point scale.

My object is to rebuild tendons that have been damaged and somehow to regrow some protection in worn areas of the knee, if possible.

What do you think? Is cartlege regrowth or repair of the bone on bone problem even possible 12 years after a minscus operation, DR. XenaLives?

Just kidding about the DR. but you (and others on this MB do quite a lot of research which is useful, IMO, and many of you have shown a great deal of experience and knowledge about old age problems, LOL.

Thanks for any good ideas.
