There's definitely a conundrum with all of that. You have the fossil fuel bitching about regulation effecting their profits and abilities to buy and hold all of their extravagance. Which is only their part of blaming "the other team" for those regulations. Of course they have the most power and effect with all of their billions of dollars given to their "team" controlling even the judges that get put in to manage that regulation.

What the fossil fuel industry wants is to just ignore any regulation or control or attention to what the production and usage of fossil fuels does to the environment and the human toll and the greater expense to everyone that gets created by not responsible management. So bs with that whining with regulations.

I'm sure that regulations are going to be relaxed due to the need to increase alternative sources for here and abroad and the environment will suffer at least for the shorter term, but no reason just to completely ignore it. There has to be a balance and addressing the real issues effecting this industry and consumers.

Cost's have to be up from what the populace here in the US is used too. That blame is not on regulation like some would really like us to believe, but just plain mismanagement and greed over time along with the fact we here in the US are just plain too spoiled.

Along with the ignorance, hiding, and disinformation methods by that "side" that the undebatable simple fact is that the more you use fossil fuel, the greater the increase of heat will happen over all. That's just basic physics and has been recognized since early man and fire.

This increasing heat factor has so much greater overall expense on our everyday life such as food expense and has greatly increased that expense overall and lessen the abilities to produce that supply and live comfortably on this planet.

This expense has already surpassed any expense of the raising cost of fossil fuel. Both the populace and oil oligarchs have just been horribly glutenous and ignorant when it comes to fossil fuels.

Maybe instead of paying the political landscape billions on a constant basis, the fossil fuel industry could put that money into their management and processes and decrease their expense in that regards.

This problem has not been addressed even a smidgen of what should have been done already in the past but is going to be hitting us in the arse with maximum effect due to our ignorance. We will be forced sooner or later to put stupid political arguments aside and really deal with the issues and facts whether we want to or not.

Definitely so called "leaders" should stop their lies and disinformation wars against science, stop focusing only on how much power or money they can control, abusing the populace as a whole, and one big long detriment to proper governing. That goes for the fossil fuel industry also since they are in so much control of the so called "leaders" that are getting paid by them.

Populace is going to have to pay more for fuel, use less of it, and the industry is going to have to suffer less profits while any transition takes place. This is going to have to be done managing effecting expenses that get created by whatever way that is done.

That is going to happen no matter how long it takes to realize it, with length of time only making the reality worse.

Kleptocrats: a ruler who uses political power to steal his or her country's resources.

Kleptocracy: government by those who seek chiefly status and personal gain at the expense of the governed.
