It would seem fairly easy to determine if vaccine mRNA reverse transcripted DNA incorporates permanently into human DNA. Most seniors have been at least triple vaccinated. Unfortunately, seniors die all the time of unrelated issues. Many people have donated their body to science. It would be simple to take small samples of various tissues from a few freshly deceased individuals who are vaccinated but have no natural immunity (who are RT-PCR negative for covid in the nasopharynx and lack antibodies to nucleocapsid (seen in natural but not vaccinated immunity)). If there is spike DNA in the genome, then that would imply that mRNA vaccine could lead to incorporation.

If spike DNA is found in tissue, the next question is whether or not that actually matters. IMO, nothing wrong with carrying an innocuous gene around for another 30-40 years. Many viruses, DNA and RNA, incorporate part of their genome permanently in human genome. Varicella zoster (chicken pox) hangs out in the dorsal root ganglia, Epstein Barr is found years and even decades later in B cells (and leads to higher rate of autoimmunity and lymphoma), etc. Integration of foreign DNA (or reverse transcripted RNA) is part of life --- some studies show about 8% of human DNA is composed of ancient viruses.

Regardless, I am vaccinated and boosted x 1, but probably won't bother with a second boosted ---not out of safety concern but #4 would likely add negligible protection to a person who is triple vaccinated with recent natural immunity (likely omicron). If a different sequence vaccine comes out, I will reconsider. Natural immunity should not be ignored. The nice thing about Omicron and its impressive R-naught is that nearly everyone who opted out of vaccination now has natural immunity. Lets get back to enjoying life and letting our kids learn and play. The widespread Omicron surge is also why we are unlikely to see a large BA.2 spike in the US.

On a different point, nice to see the UK Rett sites finally opening up. Feb'ish is still the best guess.
