Ashamed to say somewhat, I've got oil also, have had XOM for about a yr and it's done just about the same returns. At least I don't own any tobacco or Chinese stocks, so I get at least one brownie button.LOL
Also I've been short terming different oils just recently with all the volatility and have made more percentage than XOM.
But solar has not done too bad either. I bought FSLR not quite two months ago close to the bottom and it's up 20% in less than two months with lots of money and focus going into that industry right now. So it will hopefully continue an upward trend. The risk is of course that when Repugs gain more control, they will shaft the "green" industry, giving over what the fossil fuel industry paid billions for, and end any upward movement or at least slow it way down.
Hopefully not, but that's the GOP's MO.
