This won't be nice for Boeing.

I was surprised by this comment. I'm no defender of, or investor in, the modern Boeing company and the ill designed MAX but when the 800 was designed and put into service 25 years ago Boeing was run by engineers. It has a stellar record of air worthiness.

Like many other road warriors in the US I've flown 100+ flights a year for the last 25 years. Unlike the MAX, (now the 8 or is it 9?), which I and my family won't fly, the 800 is as solid as anything Boeing every designed.

I don't see how this crash is a Boeing issue.
