TFG realized Brooks is running way behind in the polls and he doesn't want to be associated with a loser - whoever wins the Primary, TFG will claim he supported that candidate all along!
On Jan 6 Brooks was stupid enough to give a full-throated endorsement of storming the capitol bldg - TFG returned the favor by putting a knife in Mo Brooks' back.
