China can't step in now without completely ending the global order as we know it.

China is screwed, they need russian exports to survive while the US says you better adhear to the sanctions.

China also can't stand without the US, so either they break with putin publicly like they seem to be doing while ignoring the sanctions or they totally break from the west, join with russia and others to create a new economic zone and let putin deliver a fatal blow to the west financial system as it is now. Both China and Russia will face massive protests and put their regimes in jeopardy.

The whole thing was avoidable, thus is such a disaster I can't get over it. And their is waaaay more surprises to come.
