US Department of Transportation Proposing New Drug Testing Policy...

Lifeloc is well positioned to take advantage of this huge opportunity by using their SpinDx platform for testing a vast array of drugs of abuse - including marijuana by oral fluid sample (saliva). This will be the first stage of their testing platform expected this year, before they incorporate the methodology into the LX9 Breathalyzer platform:

We intend to use this technology platform, sometimes referred to as "Lab on a Disk", to develop a series of devices and tests that could be used at roadside, emergency rooms and in workplace testing to get a rapid and quantitative measure for a panel of such drugs of abuse. First will be the SpinDx device with disks for delta-9 THC detection from an oral fluid sample collected from a test subject. This will be followed with a device based on our recently updated LX9 breathalyzer to collect a sample for analysis from breath, which coupled with the SpinDx device will be our marijuana breathalyzer system
