Thank you for your post. I'm not sure that malpractice or insurance enters the picture when Compassionate Use is involved. It's simply all about exposure. If the patient doesn't survive then it looks bad on hospital. From my perspective that's BS, because if a hospital allows Compassionate Use, then it's not on the hospital, its on the patient that's willing to try it. That's the perspective of many non-profits anyway. For profit hospital systems are a different story.
