I wonder if this is true.

Putin is now resorting to asking Syria to help him fight in Ukraine, per WSJ, after his similar request to Kazakhstan was rebuffed. Not only is Putin losing badly enough that he needs reinforcements, he doesn’t seem to have any Russian reinforcements. He’s severely overextended
