Unfortunately the system is broken. Independent boards do not exist and most are just an extension of the management suite. The repeated extension of their options should be illegal. They are contracts and if your time lapses so be it. They will extend their dates yet again in 3 weeks.

Luckily cancer patients have all the time in the world and can wait for these games to be played for years and years /s
