If anyone has ever been married they tend to understand forward looking statements much better. "Honey! When are you going to fix the sink in the bathroom?", "I will do that tomorrow, Darling.". Years later, that faucet is still dripping. That is the essence of a forward looking statement. The intention/hope/expectation was there at the time of the statement, but things got in the way, such as a nice NFL Sunday or a golf outing with the boys that ended up in the bar at the course.
