Don't put any weight in my answer, but if you think about it, faster computers need faster pipelines to send the data down, so I'd say a hand in hand relationship. Although come to think of it when I was the lab one time they were testing brand new state of the are test equipment. I looked at the reading and asked if that was the fios, they said no it was the electrical side of it, I scratched my head and acted like I understood it.
