Embarrassing...

why even PR it, just acquire it and if it improves bottom line, then tout bottom line improvements in future periodic updates noting they are improving strategic thinking that adds to the bottom line, but only after positive results. This way, if it didn't really work out, you could just bury it quietly as loss on investment.

But, this way with the big announcement and PR, if this is not accretive, its absolutely embarrassing to tout as "strategic" and further erodes investor confidence in mgmt.
