Yeah, that's what I was talking about, indirect costs of CVD, but this number sounds extremely low to me:

On average, an employee with cardiovascular disease costs his or her employer nearly 60 hours and over $1,100 more in lost productivity per year than an employee without cardiovascular disease.



That's only $18/hr - but I think that's the number for all people with CVD or CVD risks - if you include high BP, that group alone is 123M people, which would certainly dilute indirect costs since they're not likely to miss work due to having high BP.
