This is the type of work I did as a Lab Tech for the Du Pont Company. When a product had gone through all of the stages of R&D, and was ready for the final step before commercialization, the product would come to my lab for final testing.

I would perform reliability tests of the equipment - test the product's accuracy at different temperatures, different humidity levels, etc. I would do comprehensive testing of the equipment to ensure it met very strict levels of performance in various conditions, as well as repeatability with different operators, etc. I would also perform testing on the products packaging for shipping. I would simulate different means of shipping - airplane, truck, train, etc. by placing the packaged product on a special machine that simulated the various vibrations of each shipping method, then un-pack the product, and make sure the product functioned at the same accuracy as before vibration.

Since Lifeloc states that they are looking for someone to fill the Lab Position to support the commercialization of it's latest breathalyzer product to detect controlled substances, this tells me the product is near completion, and it's final testing is about to begin.
