My opinion:

If the FDA goes counter to the advisory committee that unanimously did not recommend approval for aducanumab and ends up approving it - the system is broken and will demonstrate that the FDA is bought/paid for by big pharma and lobbying.

In my epilepsy practice, there are Biogen representatives who come and want to talk about setting up an aducanumab infusion center in my practice - I kick them right the hell out of the office. Why would I subject my patients to a chit sandwich when I know full well that the data is unimpressive.

What is confusing me is the overconfidence of these reps that approval is a sure thing.

Do they know more than we all know in the lay public? Have the been given assurances from their administration that approval is likely? Really weird behavior - these Biogen reps act as if aducanumab is already on the market.

My further opinion is that with a Biogen approval - AVXL will continue to fly under the radar as the world media will hype the chit out of Biogen's "approval" while good data from AVXL (hopefully will be released very soon) will get buried and a rush to buy AVXL will not happen.

In this stock since 2015 - been through every twist/turn imaginable.

Bottom line - aducanumab should not even be at the table, let alone at the point of getting approved.

I really hope the FDA does right and does not approve Biogen's hack-job monoclonal antibody.

Lets see what happens.
