Prior to YE 2019 he did not own enough shares to be obliged to report holdings on a 13g. Looks like he stepped up multiple times: bought shares during the critical time of the 3D acquisition, then again for the rig, then again to spud the well, as his holdings increased both in shares and % of shares.
Since then, his share count has dropped some, but holdings as a % of the class have dropped a lot. That means others are funding testing. I would estimate that Zion has many thousands of regular contributors to the DSPP. All of them have a story about how Zion is part of their journey.
