This is what those shorting want, to shake out weak hands who see the dropping share price and sell over fear of losing their investment.

How does greed play into this? Who's greed?

There may not be a reverse split, certainly not at these price levels. CEO has stated that numerous times, and will only execute if price and performance are aligned to minimize RS for uplist. Not sure where greed fits into that scenario.
